Bendery, January, 31. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. Today’s meeting of the Joint Control Commission (JCC) was quite complicated, but ended with the final protocol signing. This assessment of the controlling body work was given by the Co-Chair of the JCC from Pridnestrovie, Oleg Belyakov.
“There are certain contradictions, they do exist, nevertheless, we come to an understanding of the importance of the issues facing the JCC” - Oleg Belyakov said.
During the meeting, experts representing the law enforcement unit exchanged views on the activities of law enforcement officers during the parliamentary elections in Moldova. Recall that some settlements of the Republic of Moldova are located in the Security Zone, and accordingly in the area of responsibility of the JCC and the Joint Peacekeeping Force.
“There was an exchange of views on the attraction of forces and means in the Security Zone in relation to the holding of parliamentary elections in the territory of the Republic of Moldova. The commission received assurances that the situation would be under control of law enforcement agencies and conditions for its unbalancing would not be created” - the Co-Chairman stressed.
A question was also raised about another fact of failure to sign JMC report on the situation in the Security Zone.
“Compliance with the decisions of the JCC, and in particular the 614th Protocol, is mandatory for all parties, because any report should be the subject of discussion at JCC meetings” - Belyakov concluded.
