Tiraspol, January, 27. / Novosti Pridnestrovya/. The President of the PMR Vadim Krasnoselsky sent the address on the occasion of the International Holocaust Remembrance Day. The Head of the state called this date the mournful day in memory of progressive mankind.
Vadim Krasnoselsky focused attention that the Holocaust is an awful and inexcusable crime against the Jewish people and mankind in general which became the embodiment of universal trouble and pain, unprecedented cruelty and contempt for human life.
"The Holocaust left its marks on our land too. Only in Dubossary, more than 18000 Jews were killed by Nazis and their helpers, and all in all, in Pridnestrovie it was killed over 40 thousand Jews. For such crimes as the Holocaust, there is no limitation period", – it is noted in the text of the presidential address.
The Head of the PMR urged everyone to resist to anti-Semitism manifestations, attempts to split society on the national, racial, religious sign.
