Tiraspol, January, 16. / Novosti Pridnestrovya/. The Official Representation of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic in the capital of the Russian Federation will be headed by Leonid Manakov. He is appointed to this position by the Presidential Decree.
Leonid Manakov's candidacy was approved by the commission of the Supreme Council of the PMR on the International Backgrounds.
Let's remind, the Official Representation of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic in the Russian Federation is planned to be opened this month in the centre of Moscow, on the New Arbat, near the well-known Book House. It will work first of all for the Pridnestrovian citizens. In particular, to protect the interests of the Pridnestrovians who are in Russia.
Let's note that there is a point on the creation of the representation of the PMR abroad in the Pridnestrovian Development Strategy 2019-2026.
Reference of Novosti Pridnestrovya News Agency: Manakov Leonid Afanasyevich was born on May 8, 1945, in Kiselyovsk of the Kemerovo region. In 1962 graduated from city high educational school.
From 1962 to 1964 worked at the mine. During the period from 1964 to 1967 underwent conscription service in the ranks of the Soviet Army (a group of troops in Germany). In May 1968 he was employed in internal affairs agencies of Kiselyovsk. More than 9 years served at various positions in criminal investigation department of the Department of Internal Affairs of the Kemerovo Regional Executive Committee.
In 1974 graduated from V.V.Kuibyshev Tomsk State University as a «lawyer». In the 1977th on a competitive basis, he was elected the senior teacher of the Department of Penal Law and Process of the Kemerovo Committee and in this connection interrupted service in law enforcement agencies.
In 1981 passed to work into the Kemerovo regional prosecutor's office. From the 1984th he was appointed the prosecutor of investigative department or prosecutor's office of the Pskov region. According to the decision of the regional executive committee in August 1986, he was directed to investigative work in the Department of Internal Affairs of the Pskov region.
In 1989 he was appointed to the position of the chief of the investigation of the Department of Internal Affairs of the Pskov region.
In 1995 Leonid Manakov became the associated member of the International Academy of acmeological sciences. On his account, there is a number of scientific articles on problems of tactics, a technique of disclosure and investigation of crimes.
In 1996 he was in an official journey as a part of the Temporary Department of MIA in the Chechen Republic, carrying out obligations for providing an emergency rule, fight against illegal armed groups and restoration of constitutional order.
In May 1997 he was appointed to the position of the First Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of the PMR, the Chief of Criminal Militia of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the PMR.
During service in law-enforcement bodies was awarded by «The Excellent Worker of Militia», the medals «For Faultless Service» III, II, I degrees, the medals «Veteran of Work», the awards «Labour Glory» and other.
Since 2000 till present has been working as a lawyer, the Vice President of the Guild of Russian Lawyers. He is the «Honourable Lawyer of Russia».
