Tiraspol, January, 15. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. Level of contacts of Pridnestrovie with OSCE is rather high, and therefore there is a hope that positive dynamics in the negotiation process will remain and in the current year. It was said by the Minister of Foreign Affairs Vitaly Ignatiev during the meeting with the Head of the OSCE Mission to Moldova Claus Neukirch.
«We consider it necessary to achieve implementation of the arrangements signed with Chisinau throughout the last time, and filling by the practical content of work within presidency of Slovakia in OSCE», – the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the PMR noted.
In particular, it is about the execution of arrangements in the field of telecommunications and politically motivated criminal cases.
Vitaly Ignatiev paid attention that the current year will be rather difficult in view of electoral processes in Moldova. Nevertheless, the Pridnestrovian side intends to keep good dynamics of dialogue of the parties.
«Of course, we would like to see the general plan of work for the forthcoming period and solving of problems for the benefit of people, proceeding from the priority of social humanitarian issues further», – noted in a conversation with journalists the Pridnestrovian diplomat.
In turn, the Head of the OSCE Mission to Moldova Claus Neukirch said that in 2018 both parties showed «leadership and will for the achievement of results».
«We had the greatest progress performed by «The Berlin protocol» and a package from 8 points. I believe that the visit of mister Lajčák will give the chance to both parties to tell about the priorities and those questions which need to be solved this year», – Claus Neukirch told.
As it has already been reported, on January 18 in Pridnestrovie will arrive the acting chairman of OSCE, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Slovakia Miroslav Lajčák. He will hold a meeting with the President of the PMR Vadim Krasnoselsky and the Minister of Foreign Affairs Vitaly Ignatiev.
The European diplomat visited Pridnestrovie as the representative of the EU at negotiations on the Moldo-Pridnestrovian settlement in the 5+2 format earlier (Pridnestrovie and Moldova are the parties of the conflict, Russia, Ukraine, OSCE are intermediaries, the European Union and the USA are as observers).
As the acting chairman of OSCE Miroslav Lajčák will arrive in Tiraspol for the first time.
