PMR PRESIDENT: MILITARY SITUATION IN UKRAINE DID NOT AFFECT US DIRECTLY

The head of state commented on the situation in the neighboring country

Tiraspol, December, 18. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. The military situation in force in a number of regions of Ukraine did not affect Pridnestrovie directly. There were only a few moments with the Russia citizens crossing the border.

This was stated by the President Vadim Krasnoselski at today's press conference in Tiraspol.

“We kept our finger on the pulse, possessed information, and evolved with the situation” - the head of the Pridnestrovian state said.

The President expressed the hope that in the near future the situation would stabilize, and that regime will be canceled.

“Decisions that are being made [in Kiev] are also serious drain for Pridnestrovie. Unfortunately, some parliamentarians or other representatives of the civil society are generating aggression around Pridnestrovie. They are categorically wrong, they forget that there are Ukraine citizens and ethnic Ukrainians living here” - Vadim Krasnoselski said.

Speaking about the conflict in the neighboring country, the President stressed that he regards it as a great tragedy.

“What is happening in Ukraine is a tragedy. I strongly oppose the collapse of Ukraine. If such a great state as Ukraine starts to fall apart, you can only imagine the humanitarian catastrophe, and how this will affect the fate of Pridnestrovie” - Krasnoselski said.

The PMR leader wished Ukraine stability and prosperity.
