Tiraspol, December, 18. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. In Pridnestrovie, there is no title nation, and this fact distinguishes our republic from neighbouring Moldova, the President of the PMR said at the final press conference. Answering questions of the journalists, Vadim Krasnoselsky explained that in the PMR any nation does not prevail another.
"Unfortunately, in Moldova and in some other states title ways of development, mononationality, where any languages, any cultures and any traditions are restrained, are chosen", - the President of the PMR noted.
According to the Head of the state, in this way, it is possible to explain also the aspiration of Pridnestrovie to be with Russia which is also multinational state.
"More than 190 nationalities live in the Russian Federation, but there is no pressure of one nation upon another. And therefore here we are closer both spiritually, and mentally", - Vadim Krasnoselsky added.
The president cited as an example a situation in the neighbouring Moldova where the Russian schools are closed, Russian-language transfers are forbidden to display, the Russian editions are oppressed. According to the Head of the state, in the RM the Russian-speaking population is reduced.
"That state which fought for the independence of the Soviet Union has neither the Moldavian language, nor the Moldavian culture, nor the Moldavian history, only the history of Romanians and only Romanian. I do not criticize, I give the facts, - Vadim Krasnoselsky noticed. - It is the fact, here we will not understand each other. In Pridnestrovie we have historical, cultural Moldavian language on the Cyrillic graphics, and the ethos of the Moldavian people with the rich culture, traditions and language is kept. In a neighbouring state, there are no Moldavian people according to the decision of the Constitutional court".
Besides, according to the President, the Republic intends to continue the formation of "the Pridnestrovian people" community by the principle of internationality, respect of all people.
"The strategy of formation of "the Pridnestrovian people" community consists in a possibility of the international recognition through the people which have a right to self-determination", - Vadim Krasnoselsky concluded.
Let's note that 72 nationalities live in the PMR today, each of which speaks in the language fluently practises the religion, culture and traditions. Pridnestrovie also has international law on self-determination of the people.
