Tiraspol, December, 14. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. In less than two years, more than 5,000 new jobs have been created in the republic. This was announced by the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Economic Development Sergey Obolonik at the Government meeting. He noted that that was preceded by the systematic work of the republic’s leadership in attracting investments, as well as the development of concessional lending for business. So, thanks to the launched mechanism of interest rate subsidies, Intercenter Lux and Agrosem firms have already received affordable loans, as well as the Canned Child Food Factory. This week, the contracts were signed with Vestra garment factory and CJSC Bouquet of Moldova.
The funds received by already operating enterprises were directed to the technical refurbishment and modernization of the equipment.
“All these ongoing activities directly correlate with the dynamics of new jobs creation. In 2017, the number of newly created and additionally introduced jobs amounted to 2,827; in nine months of 2018 - 2,441. Thus, during this period their total number was 5,258” - Sergey Obolonik said.
The Government also talked about employment at meetings with representatives of the All-Pridnestrovian National Forum (ANF) and the Union of Industrialists, Agrarians and Entrepreneurs of Pridnestrovie (UIAEP). In particular, there was raised the topic of employment of persons with disabilities and the revitalization of social insurance centers.
“It was proposed to pay attention to the categories of the population at risk, namely, persons with disabilities, convicts, etc. Today, such work has already begun. The Ministry of Economic Development is currently working with the Mayak and Rassvet enterprises on calculating economic indicators in terms of new areas of production activity development. We are studying the market and purchase of press moulds in order to expand the scope of work and the range of products by persons working in these enterprises” - the Deputy Chairman of Government added.
In the future, this work will continue in the framework of a special working group. It will include representatives of government agencies, the Chamber of Commerce, UIAEP, ANF and other social activists.
