Tiraspol, December, 6. /Novosti Pridnestrovya IA/. At the Joint Control Commission regular session, there was heard and noted the report on the situation in the Security Zone over the past week. The parties discussed the issues that had been accumulated on the agenda, in particular the functioning of the working groups. One of them is engaged in posts in the Security Zone. The second group is engaged in the interaction of law enforcement officers in enhanced security regime area.
“This topic is not new. There are appeals of the state administration and public organizations regarding the presence of the law-enforcement component. The question is that in their activities they should be guided by the principles of territoriality” - the Co-Chair of the JCC from Pridnestrovie, Oleg Belyakov said.
The question of the peacekeeping post number 9 (left) functioning and the replacement of trailer on it had also moved from a dead point. It should be reminded that this topic has been being discussed since 2012. All this time Pridnestrovian side has been insisting on replacing the outdated terminal in order to improve the peacekeepers service terms.
“Next week, the senior military commanders, representatives of the JCC plan to visit site in order to resolve the situation and ensure the normal operation of this post with the possible replacement of the trailer for the peacekeepers by the new year” - Belyakov added.
