Tiraspol, November, 30. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. The management of JSC Litmash is negotiating with Ukrzaliznice on the conclusion of a long-term one million contract for the supply of products in 2019. This was announced by the general director of Tiraspol enterprise Ruslan Portugalov.
For Litmash the program for developing the production of spare parts for railway rolling stock has become one of the projects for entering new markets. After the work on the development of railcar casting, the plant was assigned the conditional marking number "1491". This allowed the company to enter a limited circle of certified suppliers of railway rolling stock spare parts in the CIS countries.
“At the beginning of 2018, a number of commercial structures from Ukraine and Russia showed great interest in the ability of Litmash to manufacture parts for railway cars” - Ruslan Portugalov said.
In response to the growing demand in the car casting market, the management and staff of the company made every effort to resume the work of the new foundry complex after its forced suspension during the crisis.
In six months, all the main sections of the technological chain were fully restored and, as a result, an experimental batch of the axle box body was manufactured, which was sent for examination in Kamenskoye (Ukraine).
According to the head of the quality service, Yulia Kortyukova, who was directly involved in the examination, the axle box body of Litmash OJSC was successfully accepted and processed in Ukraine, and the specialists of the Ukrainian company highly appreciated the quality of the products of the Tiraspol plant.
This allowed the company to receive an order for the manufacture and delivery of the first batch of the axle box in the amount of 200 units in December 2018.
Today, the company is negotiating with the Ukrainian Railways to conclude a long-term contract for the supply of the axle box in quantities of 1,000 to 3,000 units per month in 2019. The amount of this contract will exceed $1 million.
“Such a volume will not only provide the company with a stable loading capacities, but will also require ensuring production work in 2-3 shifts, and these are new jobs, and the opportunity for the enterprise to come out of the crisis and pay off debts” - Ruslan Portugalov said.
