Vadim Krasnoselsky outlined a number of issues that require detailed discussion and reconciliation of positions with the Russian Federation, which, he said, invariably takes an active part in the life of Pridnestrovie. A special role in the process of bilateral cooperation belongs, the president believes, to the Russian embassy and the ambassador himself.
According to him, Pridnestrovie appreciates Russia's opinion as a guarantor country in the negotiation process on issues included in the agenda of a "Permanent Conference..." meeting in the "5 + 2" format, which will be held at the end of May in Rome. The interlocutors discussed the results of a meeting with Russia's ambassador at large Sergey Gubarev, during which the Russian diplomat voiced his thoughts, wishes, suggestions ahead of the upcoming meeting in Italy.
Farit Mukhametshin also asked the president to award the young Pridnestrovians who took an active part in the Russia-led essay contest on the subjects "The future of Russia: how I see it" and "My wishes to the President of the Russian Federation."
The ambassador brought a voluminous folder of thanks to the kids. Speaking about their participation, Mukhametshin stressed that it had not been so active even in Russia itself.
Vadim Krasnoselsky said that he knew about the contest and that he was familiar with the works of the Pridnestrovians. The president highlighted the Pridnestrovie-Russia unity which is running through all the essays of the children and Pridnestrovie's life in general. The head of state assured Farit Mukhametshin that the letters of gratitude would be solemnly handed over to the contest participants.
