President: Pridnestrovie has a lot to offer to its foreign partners

Vadim Krasnoselsky has met the head of the EU Delegation to Moldova

Tiraspol, 22 May. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. Pridnestrovian president Vadim Krasnoselsky held a meeting with the head of the EU Delegation to Moldova, Peter Michalko.

Welcoming the European guest, Vadim Krasnoselsky stressed that the Pridnestrovian leadership appreciated the dialogue with EU representatives, taking into account the guidelines of the EU experts and analyzing the possibility and feasibility of their implementation under current circumstances. The president underscored his interest in the position of the European Union in general and the head of the EU delegation to Moldova in particular regarding the agreements reached in the negotiation process with the Republic of Moldova and the prospects for their implementation, the president's press service reports.

Peter Michalko thanked Vadim Krasnoselsky for the meeting, stressing its importance ahead of a meeting in Rome, and noted that he would continue regular visits to Pridnestrovie. Referring to the work of the "Permanent Conference..." in the "5 +2" format, the European diplomat spoke about the optimism with which he and his colleagues observe the progress in the negotiation process and the implementation of the agreements reached by the parties. Of particular interest was a decision on the apostille verification of diplomas issued by Pridnestrovian State University. Peter Michalko said that he was planning to visit the university to find out the opinion of the student community about what else could be done in this regard. Focusing on the mechanism for the participation of Pridnestrovian vehicles in international road traffic, the head of the delegation specified the possibility of launching it within the time frames defined by the negotiators. In addition, the diplomat stressed the intention of the European side not to reduce the level of participation as an observer in the "5 +2" format.

The interlocutors also discussed bilateral relations between Pridnestrovie and the European Union. Vadim Krasnoselsky, in particular, noted the growth in the number of export-import transactions with the EU countries, drawing attention to the important role of the EU delegation in this matter. Vadim Krasnoselsky noted that Pridnestrovie also aimed to develop trade relations with the Eurasian Economic Union and the Russian Federation, stressing that the choice of the optimal direction was up to the business community. The president also focused on legislative changes in the investment sphere, noting that the current innovations were designed to improve the investment climate and increase interest in the Pridnestrovian economy, which, according to him, has a lot to offer to its foreign partners. Peter Michalko, in turn, stressed that he welcomed the intensification of trade relations that promote the development of the economy, employment and the growth of the well-being of citizens.

The interlocutors discussed a large number of topical issues, exchanged views, outlined plans for further interaction, agreed to continue substantive cooperation in the areas of mutual interest.
