Tiraspol, 4 April. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. Pridnestrovian foreign minister Vitaly Ignatiev met Hungary's ambassador to Moldova Sandor Szabo, who paid his first official visit to Pridnestrovie after the appointment.
At the beginning of the meeting, the foreign minister noted the traditionally friendly and stable nature of the relations between Hungary and Pridnestrovie.
"First of all, they were formed because of the openness of Hungarian diplomats to bilateral interaction. This is a decent approach to international communication, " the MFA's press service cites the minister as saying.
Vitaly Ignatiev told the guest about some historical aspects of the existing relations between Pridnestrovie and Moldova, and also paid attention to the current situation in the negotiation process.
According to the minister, Pridnestrovie sees as today’s priority in its negotiations with Moldova the implementation of the agreements signed at the end of last year, as well as the settlement of the entire complex of social and humanitarian problems that directly affect the welfare and standard of living of Pridnestrovian citizens.
The sides also discussed the prospects of expanding Pridnestrovie-Hungary cooperation in the whole range of areas, first of all, in the cultural, humanitarian and economic spheres. At the end of the meeting, the interlocutors expressed mutual interest in the further development of the relationship.
As Novosti Pridnestrovie has already reported, the Hungarian ambassador visited the Military Historical Memorial Complex in Bendery, where he laid flowers to the Central Cross and a memorial plate in the Hungarian sector of the memorial. The diplomat also met Pridnestrovian President Vadim Krasnoselsky and the leadership of the parliament.
