Tiraspol, 19 March. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. Vadim Krasnoselsky met the head of the OSCE Mission to Moldova Michael Scanlan, the presidential press service reports.
Welcoming the ambassador, the president noted that regular meetings allow the exchange of relevant information on various issues of the negotiating agenda. He thanked Michael Scanlan for active participation in the negotiation process and the desire to achieve concrete practical results in the dialogue.
The head of the OSCE Mission, in turn, noted the personal involvement of the Pridnestrovian president in the negotiation process, which contributes to reaching agreements on significant issues on the agenda. This approach, according to the diplomat, has brought the negotiation process to a qualitatively new level, marked by the practical implementation of specific decisions reached by the parties to the conflict with the involvement of international mediators.
The interlocutors spoke about the need to make progress in the issues recorded in the Vienna Protocol. The OSCE official drew attention to a motor transport issue, expressing hope for an early finding of a mechanism for the participation of Pridnestrovian vehicles in international road traffic. He also mentioned the problems connected with politically motivated criminal cases and freedom of movement of citizens.
The parties stressed the importance of the active substantive interaction of all participants in the dialogue with a view to reaching rapid practical solutions for the sake of people's interests. It was also noted that on 27 March the Special Representative of the OSCE Chairman-in-Office Franco Frattini would visit Pridnestrovie.
