MFA hosts meeting with British deputy ambassador Alexandra Gaunt

Deputy foreign minister Alexander Stetsyuk told the British diplomats about the progress in developing a mechanism to address an issue with Pridnestrovian vehicles participating in international road traffic

Tiraspol, 16 March. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. Pridnestrovie's deputy foreign minister Alexander Stetsyuk held a meeting with a UK delegation headed by deputy ambassador Alexandra Gaunt.

Alexander Stetsyuk noted the stable and pragmatic nature of communication with the British side, which enables projects aimed at improving the living standards of citizens. In this context, the diplomat expressed gratitude to the UK embassy for its assistance in improving the technical equipment of Pridnestrovie's fire service, referring to the donation of two new fire engines that arrived this month, the MFA's press service reports.

The interlocutors exchanged views on a number of social and humanitarian projects implemented by the UK embassy in Pridnestrovie and discussed other promising areas of bilateral cooperation.

Alexander Stetsyuk also told the British diplomats about the current situation in the negotiation process between Pridnestrovie and the Republic of Moldova, focusing on the development of a mechanism to address the problem of the participation of Pridnestrovian cars in international road traffic.

At the end of the meeting, the sides agreed to maintain contact on issues of mutual interest.
