Students of Russian Customs Academy undergoing practice in Pridnestrovie

Tiraspol, 6 March. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. The chairman of the State Customs Committee of the PMR (SCC), Vitaly Nyagu, held a meeting with undergraduate students of the St. Petersburg branch of Russian Customs Academy, who came to undergo pre-graduation practice at the structural units of the PMR's customs.

The young Pridnestrovians have been sent by the customs committee to obtain higher education in Russia on quotas allocated within the framework of cooperation with the Russian side, the SCC's press service explains.

Vitaly Nyagu greeted the Academy students, noting that they represent the human potential which is the future of the committee. He stressed the strategic importance of cooperation with Russian Customs Academy, which makes it possible to train qualified specialists at the unique customs university.

Speaking to the students, Nyagu noted the comprehensive update of the customs legislation which was conducted in 2017 to meet the best practices and international standards in the customs sphere. He expressed the hope that during the practice the would-be customs officers would have the opportunity to take part in the implementation of most customs procedures.

"Our goal is to provide you with maximum access to practice, make you interested so that you will determine to return home after graduating and serve at Pridnestrovie's customs bodies. Perhaps, now the theoretical experience you have had will serve you as a catalyst for further improvement," said Nyagu.

In turn, the students told about their study at Russian Customs Academy, about their sports achievements and student leisure, and also shared the subjects of their graduation papers.

 The pre-graduation practice at the customs clearance departments of all regional customs offices will last more than a month. The SCC leadership and students agreed to meet again after its completion to exchange impressions and outline further prospects.
