Tiraspol, 14 February. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. Pridnestrovian foreign minister Vitaly Igntyev and special representative of the OSCE chairman-in-office Franco Frattini have had a telephone conversation today, the MFA's press service reports.
The interlocutors discussed the current state of the dialogue between Pridnestrovie and Moldova, in particular, the implementation of the Vienna Protocol. Special attention was paid to the work of the relevant experts of the parties with an emphasis on the process of developing a mechanism for the participation of Pridnestrovian vehicles in the international road traffic.
"The exchange of views also touched upon the prospects for the development of the dialogue of the parties on issues requiring significant progress this year. In this context, Vitaly Ignatyev emphasised the fundamental importance of the practical implementation of previously reached agreements, as well as the rhythmic work at all levels of the negotiation process," says the MFA’s communiqué.
Also, Vitaly Ignatyev officially invited Franco Frattini to visit Pridnestrovie, expressing the hope that the interaction with the OSCE chairmanship in 2018 would be systemic and effective.
The Italian diplomat, in his turn, announced the forthcoming visit to Pridnestrovie of the adviser of the special representative of the OSCE chairman-in-office, Alfredo Conte.
The interlocutors agreed to maintain direct contacts to exchange views on topical issues related to the negotiation process.
