Tiraspol, 22 Novemeber. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. A new cooperation agreement between Moscow and Pridnestrovian State Universities was signed during today's meeting of the Pridnestrovian President Vadim Krasnoselsky and MSU rector Vadim Sadovnichy. In addition, they signed a regulation on the scientific and methodological centre of MSU in the Pridnestrovian university. The documents were signed by the heads of the two universities — Viktor Sadovnichy and Stepan Beril, the president's press service reports.
Viktor Sadovnichy expressed gratitude to the Pridnestrovian president for his attention to the educational sphere. "Inthe course of the negotiations, we felt mutual interest, saw how important it was for the country's leadership," noted the MSU rector. He stressed the importance of the role played by the university in the establishment and development of the state. With regard to today's event, Viktor Sadovnichy noted: "The documents we have signed are another step in the development of cooperation between Moscow and Pridnestrovian State Universities."
Throughout the years of its establishment as a modern classical multidisciplinary university, PSU has signed over 160 cooperation agreements with the universities, academies and scientific centres of 18 states. More than 80 of them are Russian educational institutions.
The universities will continue to discuss their practical interaction in Pridnestrovie during a forthcoming visit of an MSU delegation.
