St Petersburg teachers to visit Pridnestrovie in November

Earlier, their Pridnestrovian colleagues attended a refresher course for Russian language and history teachers

Tiraspol, 31 August. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. Pridnestrovian teachers have the opportunity to undergo refresher courses in the country, but attending such courses abroad has not been possible over the past years. Such practice has resumed this year with the assistance of Rossotrudnichestvo, the public education minister, Tatyana Loginova, said on Radio 1.

«The course was organised by the St Petersburg Education Department for teachers of Russian and history living abroad. Teachers from 31 countries came to the course," said the minister, adding that Pridnestrovie was represented by several teachers from Tiraspol and Bendery.

And the story of this course is not over, according to Loginova.

«On arrival, the Ministry of Education received a letter with a request to provide an opportunity to ten teachers from St Petersburg to come to Pridnestrovie to study our experience because Pridnestrovian students show a high level of knowledge," noted the minister.

The St Petersburg delegation is expected to visit Pridnestrovie in November.

Besides, 11 Pridnestrovian teachers took part in an English language workshop, which was held in Austria's Graz this year.
