Tiraspol, August 3. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. President of Pridnestrovie Vadim Krasnoselsky gave an interview to Russia-24 TV channel, the Presidential Press Office reports. The interview topic concerned the Moldova's urge to remove by any means, including military ones, the Russian presence from the Pridnestrovie's territory.
Vadim Krasnoselsky noted that Russia hadn't weighed that decision of the Constitutional court of Moldova. He considers all other actions of Moldova's leaders including the decision of parliament to replace the peacekeeping mission on the Dniester with other format to be a consequence of the statement made at the constitutional level.
«With these decisions, Moldova shows its orientation to the West," the president considers. «They are very dangerous, but they won't break the communication between Russia and Pridnestrovie or stop the negotiation process».
It was also talked about the violated agreements and the unilateral steps made by Pridnestrovie as a conciliatory gesture towards the Moldovan side thus showing the constructive approach, but Moldova does only harm to the PMR in return.
The fact that the interest in the Moldo-Pridnestrovian relations had been sparked by the events of the last July days when the Russian citizens had been denied entry to take part in the celebration of the 25 anniversary of deployment of the peacekeepers in Pridnestrovie also didn't go unnoticed during the dialogue. Vadim Krasnoselsky emphasized that the incident had been only one of the episodes of the difficult long-term relationship.
«I believe that common sense will prevail. The Pridnestrovians are absolutely well disposed towards Moldova and the Moldovans. We want to live like good neighbors, but not together," the President told.
According to him, Moldova’s actions only make tension in the relations with Russia. «It is relations of establishments. Do you know what I wouldn't lke to expect? I wouldn't like to see Russia's countermeasures which would affect the life of ordinary people," Krasnoselsky added.
It was also talked about the purposes on which Pridnestrovie planned to allocate funds of the Russian financial aid. Vadim Krasnoselsky noted that by the time of leadership replacement there had been huge budget deficit in the republic, collapse in the bank sphere, and existence of shadow budget. Russian auditors were invited to clear up the situation. Following the results of their work shadow schemes were removed. The budget spending are cut. «In fact, all these changes can be called a reform. We need means to put it in place," Vadim Krasnoselsky explained.
Installment of the Moldovan customs control stations and possible impact of it on the republican economy were also discussed during the interview. It was also talked about the 5+2 format efficiency. Vadim Krasnoselsky considers that one of the reasons of the present pause in its work is the position of the Austrian presidency in OSCE. The Pridnestrovie's President emphasized that Pridnestrovie and Russia were still advocating for that format.
