Tiraspol, 8 June. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. The Pridnestrovian delegation, composed of government and Supreme Council members, took part in a round table discussion held in Russia's State Duma. The topic of the meeting was «Ukraine's influence on the situation around Pridnestrovie». It was organised by the State Duma's committee on CIS countries, Eurasian integration and compatriots.
The discussion focussed on the difficult socio-economic situation in Pridnestrovie whose government is implementing a range of comprehensive measures to address it. This is, first of all, the development of a fiscal policy concept, roadmaps to create a favourable business climate and measures to expand exports of Pridnestrrovian goods, primarily to the Russian Federation.
«The Russian MPs and colleagues paid special attention to the government's course to promote and enhance openness and transparency in state spending. I this regard, let me remind you, we are working with one of Russia's largest audit companies which helps us in carrying out an administrative reform and optimising state spending," said Kirova.
Kirova underscored that the round table participants had expressed the view that the negative effects and damage of Moldo-Ukrainian joint action on the Pridnestrovian economy should not be tolerated and that support should be provided for the solution of the problem.
She said that the meeting had also been attended by representatives of certain Russian ministries and agencies who reported positive developments on specific issues. Thus, according to the representatives of Russia's healthcare ministry and healthcare department, cooperation is possible with regard to the provision of high-tech medical assistance to Russian citizens living in Pridnestrovie
There is also a willingness to continue cooperation between the healthcare ministries of Russia and the PMR in sharing experiences and upgrading the skills of Pridnestrovian medical practitioners.
The round table participants also emphasised the need to further develop cooperation for the expansion of Pridnestrovian exports to Russia, the government's press service reports.
