Tiraspol, 10 May. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. President Vadim Krasnoselsky has met Gazprom's vice president Valery Golubev, the president's press service reports.
At the start of the meeting, Vadim Krasnoselsky congratulated the Russian guests on the 72nd anniversary of the victory of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War.
«9 May is the brightest and the most significant holiday; the victory over fascism and Nazism is the most significant event of the 20th century," said the president, maintaining that «one can't review, rewrite, revise history» and stressing the importance of «remembering the feat of our ancestors».
Referring to today, the president underscored that life did not stand still and presented new challenges that are needed to be jointly addressed. Vadim Krasnoselsky noted that meetings of the Pridnestrovian leadership with Gazprom members were regular and systemic, with the previous one held in February 2017. It was talked back then about the prospects of cooperation in the energy field, the importance for Russia of ensuring the smooth transit of natural gas through Pridnestrovie to the Balkans, as well as about the country's energy security.
In general, the parties dwelt on the same aspects during today's meeting.
Valery Golubev said that the Gazprom delegation included representatives of all the main services of the company. According to him, there will be a meeting of Gazprom shareholders on 26 May 2017 at which collected data will be presented.
