Vadim Krasnoselsky and Farit Mukhametshin discuss a problem of Moldo-Ukrainian checkpoint construction on Pridnestrovie's border

The sides also focused on the issues of social and economic spheres and energy supply security of the republic

Tiraspol, April 7. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. Pridnestrovie's President Vadim Krasnoselsky met Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation in the RM Farit Mukhametshin.

The head of state and the Russian ambassador discussed topical issues of bilateral cooperation. Careful attention was paid to the issues of social and economic spheres and energy supply security of the republic, the Presidential Press Office reports. Druring the working meeting, the sides exchanged opinions on the current situation and the future of the negotiation process within the 5+2 format.

Vadim Krasnoselsky informed Farit Mukhemetshin that the authorities of the republic, the parliamentarians and the public were concerned about the situation around Pridnestrovie. It was talked of the Moldova's intention to organize the customs and border control on the Pridnestrovian-Ukrainian border at the Kuchurgan checkpoint.

«The meeting took place in the positive atmosphere. The sides agreed to continue active interaction in different areas," the Presidential Press Office reports.
