Tiraspol, 10 March. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. The president held a meeting on the exchange market situation. Among the officials who were present at the meeting were prime minister Alexander Martynov, speaker Alexander Shcherba, chair of the PRB Vladislav Tidva, member of the parliamentary committee for economic policy, budget and finance Porfiry Shkilnyuk, the president's press service reports.
Noting the unacceptability of maintaining multiple exchange rates, Vadim Krasnoselsky urged the meeting participants to consider various ways out of the current situation in Pridnestrovie's foreign exchange market.
«The current situation should be resolved. The rouble's official rate against the US dollar should correspond to the market one. Otherwise — amid turmoil — business entities will continue incurring economic losses, which is unacceptable," said the president.
During the meeting, the participants also talked about the causes of the situation, the factors destabilising the foreign exchange market and tools to improve the situation.
