Tiraspol, 26 December. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. Vadim Krasnoselsky is taking as his «own personal tragedy» the death of Russian citizens in a plane crash over the Black Sea, he said in an interview with journalists. Today the head of state has laid flowers to Russia's ambulatory consular office in Tiraspol and left the words of condolences in the Book of Remembrance and Grief.

«The level of loss in this tragedy cannot be measured in quantitative terms. This is an irreparable loss for Russian culture, for the country's defence ministry. All who lost their lives in this plane lived for other people. They did not go on holiday; they went to serve their Fatherland, went to Syria to support Russian soldiers who are carrying out a peacekeeping mission," the head of state underscored.

As we have informed, last Sunday the TU-154 of the Russian defence ministry going to Syria went down off the city of Sochi. The plane was carrying 92 people: servicemen of Russia's armed forces, as well as members of the Alexandrov Ensemble and nine journalists of Russia's First, Zvezda and NTV channels. No one has survived.

«The Alexandrov Choir visited Pridnestrovie several times; I personally knew many of them. They were open-hearted people, of great talent," said Vadim Krasnoselsky, adding that «the people of Pridnestrovie, regardless of their nationality and citizenship, are feeling and sharing sorrow and pain with the Russian people.»

The president has recalled that 26 December has been declared the Day of Mourning in the republic. Vadim Krasnoselsky has wished the relatives of the deceased strength of spirit.

«It is a terrible grief; it is the ordeal you need to endure, to remember those who have gone before. They will stay with us until we remember them," concluded the president.
