Tiraspol, 26 September. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. The aide to the chairman of the Pridnestrovian government, Evgeny Cheban, took part in the annual Margaritinskaya Fair in Arkhangelsk, Russia.
The biggest trade forum of the Russian North started on 23 September. Within three days, fair participants from 40 Russian regions, as well as guests from Belarus, Estonia, Uzbekistan and Mongolia presented their unique products.
As the government's press service reports, in addition to traditional goods, such as honey, potatoes, berries, mushrooms, sausages, confectionery, this year's fair featured Iranian coverlets and Russian dresses of the early 20th century, high mountain teas and cheeses from Karachai-Cherkessia, oriental species and jewellery made of gold and silver that left no-one indifferent.
Pridnestrovie's government representative wished fair participants successful and fruitful work in forming an efficient trade and economic space and signing mutually beneficial long-term contracts. Yevgeny Cheban handed a welcome address by the Pridnestrovian prime minister to the deputy chairman of the government of Arkhangelsk Oblast, Viktor Ikonnikov.
«Pridnestroive and Arkhangelsk Oblast are linked by strong friendly relations. The cooperation memorandum defines the main vectors of the development of our bilateral relations. And the trade and economic component plays the main part in it [the memorandum], especially amid global and regional economic turbulence. I am convinced that our cooperation will continue within the agreements we have signed and new steps in this direction will give practical meaning to the provisions of the memorandum," says the address.
On September 2014 the government of Arkhangelsk Oblast and the government of the PMR signed a memorandum on trade, economic, scientific, technical and humanitarian cooperation. Pridnestrovian agricultural goods are supplied to Arkhangelsk Oblast as part of this agreement. Our trading partners and Arkhangelsk residents themselves note the unique flavour of our apples and their compliance with all quality standards.
During the visit, the Pridnestrovian prime minister’s aide also took part in an international round table discussion «Colloborative project ideas for international cooperation» and visited a tourist information centre.
