Russian experts propose organising refresher courses for Pridnestrovian specialists working with youth

An online conference was held in Tiraspol with representatives of Russia's Federal Agency for Youth Affairs (Rosmolodezh)

Tiraspol, 15 September. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. The Ministry of Education and Shevchenko Pridnestrovian State University held a workshop on focal areas and prospects of the state youth policy. The round table was attended by representatives of the presidential administration and government, foreign ministry, deputy heads of state administrations for social issues, leadership and representatives of PSU.

During the meeting an online conference was organised with representatives of Russia's Federal Agency for Youth Affairs (Rosmolodezh). So Pridnestrovian specialists were able to talk to the director of the Federal International Youth Centre, Aleksey Lyubtsov, who shared experience with his colleagues and spoke about international cooperation. The Russian official called Pridnestrovian colleagues and public youth organisations for more active cooperation and expressed readiness to provide assistance in solving a number of issues. He noted, in particular, that the Russian side could organise refresher courses for Pridnestrovian specialists working with the youth.

«We are ready to bring our instructors and organise such courses in your country as early as the first quarter of 2017, verifying them with state-approved certificates," said Aleksey Lyubtsov.

Round-table participants adopted a resolution outlining a number of guidelines for the Ministry of Education, heads of state administrations and chiefs of professional education institutions, and also defined tasks and priorities for the 2016−2017 academic year.

«The main task lies in proposing new forms of activities and developing new techniques which meet the needs and desires of the younger generation. It is also important to pay particular attention to patriotic education, prevention of the ideology of extremism and terrorism, support of creative and talented young people and young scientists. In addition, it is becoming more important to involve young families and working youth in public activities. It is necessary to pay more attention to work with disabled young people, as well as continue promoting voluntary work, create local youth advisory and consultative bodies," says the adopted document.
