Tiraspol, 13 June. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. Yesterday, Zvezda youth movement activists together with representatives of the Retro Legends of Pridnestrovie motor club took part in the celebration of Russia Day in Bendery. More than 20 retro cars were put on display, the movement's press release says.
After celebrations, a column of retro cars, accompanied by bikers, made a motor rally across Bendery and Tiraspol. Representatives of Kishinev's Auto Retro Tuning motor club also participated in the rally.
«We have brought eight cars to join a motor rally and celebrate this wonderful holiday — Russia Day. It is not the first event we take part in and hope that such actions performed together with the Zvezda youth movement will be become regular," said the president of Auto Retro Tuning, Vladislav Dumanov.
In the evening, Zvezda activists organised a concert, a historical contest and a fire show near the capital's Palace of Children and Youth Creativity
«Russia Day is one of the most important holidays for us. These festivities aimed to show how much we love Russia and consider ourselves its integral part," said the head of Zvezda, Svetlana Molake.
«Such events show that Pridnestrovie's youth associate themselves and their future with Russia. And we are pleased to know that the initiative belongs to the young people," underscored the head of scientific programmes at the Dniester-Prut Centre of the Russian Institute for Strategic Studies, Georgy Menyailo.
