Tiraspol, June 7. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. President Yevgeny Shevchuk took part in the enlarged meeting of the Pridnestrovie's Defence Ministry's military board where the Armed Forces' training results for the winter period of 2016 were summed up, the Presidential Press Office reports.
During the meeting, an assessment of the Ministry command's activity during the reporting period was also given. «As for today, I give a good grade to the Defence Ministry command. In 2014−2015, it was done a lot to increase efficiency of the Pridnestrovie's army in our difficult conditions. There are still some problems, and, of course, we will solve them. The most important thing is the fact that people manifest a desire to serve the Pridnestrovian state — and they serve with dignity», the Commander-in-chief Yevgeny Shevchuk noted. «The Pridnestrovie's army is a credible deterrent for any extremism. Existence of an efficient army provides stability in the republic».
