Tiraspol, April 14. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. Today, Government decrees concerning reduction of the customs duty on a number of food products have come into force.
Special customs duty rates are reduced on such goods as milk and dairy products, flour and bread, pastry, cakes, cookies, mineral water and soft-drinks.
Fish and meat production rates were also changed. The import customs duty on frozen meat of cattle, fresh, chilled and frozen pork, poultry, and also on live, frozen, dried, salted, smoked fish and fish meal was reduced.
As it is noted in the documents, «these tariff measures were taken to mitigate the difficult situation in the foreign exchange market, and also to even the competitive conditions for import and domestic production realization.
These measures will be in effect untill July 1, 2016.
