Pridnestrovie's FM declares readiness to provide humanitarian and diplomatic assistance to Nagorno-Karabakh Republic

Upon the initiative of the Pridnestrovian side a telephone conversation has been held today between the acting foreign minister, Vitaly Ignatyev and his Nagorno-Karabakh counterpart, Karen Mirzoyan

Tiraspol, 4 April. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. In the course of the dialogue the Pridnestrovian foreign minister expressed Pridnestorvie's concern over a serious deterioration of the situation on the contact line between the armed forces of Azerbaijan and the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic. He also expressed empathy and support to the people of Artsakh in connection with escalation of tension on the part of the Republic of Azerbbaijan, the press service of Pridnestrovie's MFA reports.

«Our nations have had strong and time-proved friendly relations. Pridnestrovie is ready to support Nagorny Karabakh in this difficult time," said Vitaly Ignatyev.

Karen Mirzoyan, in turn, thanked the Pridnestrovian minister for his warm words and noted that the situation has not been completely settled at the moment. According to the Karabakh foreign minister, Azerbaijan is continuing provocations on the border, but the situation is under full control of the army of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic.

«The Karabakh side will make every effort to de-escalate the conflict and settle the current situation," said Karen Mirzoyan.

Vitaly Ignatyev assured his colleague of Pridnestrovie's readiness to provide, if necessary, any humanitarian and diplomatic assistance and expressed hope that the conflict would be resolved through a peaceful political dialogue and ceasefire would be soon restored.
