Bendery, 24 March. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. A regular meeting of the Joint Control Commission (JCC) took place in Bendery today. At the end of the meeting the Pridnestrovian co-chair to the JCC, Oleg Belyakov, noted that holding a dialogue with Moldova is rather difficult as Moldova is trying to block the commission's activities.
According to him, there is also an alarming trend in the work of the Joint Military Command (JMC).
«There is a trend within the JMC when Moldova's chief military commander can afford to leave a JMC meeting and keep away from discussing peacekeeping issues on the agenda," said Oleg Belyakov.
The sides continued to discuss the issue on freedom of movement in the Security Zone, although, according to Oleg Belyakov, there are other issues on the agenda which have long remained unresolved Many of them refer directly to peacekeeping issues, including the plan of basic activities of the Joint Peacekeeping Forces, military observers' operation plans and others.
The Pridnestrovian side has sent a report to JCC delegations on unlawful acts by Moldovan law enforcers in the Security Zone.
