Bendery schoolchildren take part in International Children's Summit in Moscow

The children shared their impressions of the trip with Bendery's mayor, Nikolay Gliga

Bendery, 9 March. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. The 8th International Children's Summit «International Dialogue» finished in Moscow. A Pridnestrovian delegation, represented by Bensery's Secondary School No. 15 pupils, took part in it.

Among questions discussed by the delegates from the Moscow and Arkhangelsk regions (Russia), Belarus and Pridnestrovie were the education of the future, tasks facing the contemporary youth and many others.

Children were divided in subgroups: theatrical, scientific, applied arts and vocal. Every participant has received a creative task.

The schoolchildren shared their impressions of the trip with Bendery's head, Nikolay Gliga.

«I was in the group 'scientific holidays'. We visited a lyceum in which four interactive labs have recently been opened. We were working at a geography lab, making a booklet to attract tourists to the city. Our group spoke about Pridnestrovie," said a Secondary School No. 15 pupil, Elizaveta Lungu.

Summit participants also created a virtual school of the future, in which they particularly decided to replace ordinary 45-minute school lessons with 80-minute university classes. According to schoolchildren, it is easier and more efficient to make homework in this way.

In a musical group children were composing a song to a well-known tune. Summit participants also took part in a debate on where it is easy to be young, during which everyone determined its own criteria of success. During a meeting with a cosmonaut, children learnt how cosmonauts eat, work and have spare time in orbit. Every day of the summit was rich in event, its participants say.

«This year the summit's main idea was 'Education and Contemporary Youth'. And it is natural that many various events were dedicated to this theme. We have encountered many new forms which we are going to employ in our work," said the deputy director of Secondary School No. 15, Tatyana Bautina.

The organisers have sent a letter of gratitude to the city's mayor, acknowledging the participation of the Pridnestrovian children in the summit.

«This is what we call people's diplomacy. We are recognised through our contacts, flags and anthem. We are welcome. That is, Pridnestrovie is already an established state thanks to people's diplomacy. Thank you for decently representing the city, the country and yourself,” the head of the Bendery State Administration thanked the summit participants.
