Tiraspol, 1 March. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. During an operational meeting with government members the head of state said that Pridnestrovie had received Russian humanitarian assistance for paying pension allowance.
«The Russian assistance must be delivered to pensioners as soon as possible: payments have to be made in March, taking account of January and February. It is not the first time when we receive money with a delay at the beginning of the year," underscored the president.
The head of state instructed the finance minister and the minister of social protection and labour to ensure regular funding of this allowance, taking into account the exchange rate of the Russian rouble and following the previously established procedure. «It [the procedure] is well elaborated, transparent, clear and comprehensible for senior citizens," added Yevgeny Shevchuk.
Finance minister Irina Molokanova reported that, according to estimates taking account of the Russian rouble exchange rate, the annual pension allowance would amount to 100 PMR roubles, the presidential press service reports.
«Every pensioner will receive three-month allowance in March. Money will be delivered according to the pension delivery schedule. In Tiraspol and Bendery money will be taken home by the delivery persons of social insurance and protection centres. In other cities and districts funds will be delivered through Savings Bank. The Russian allowance for military pensioners will be placed to their accounts in Savings Bank in accordance with the established procedure," explained the minister of social protection and labour, Yelena Kulichenko.
The first tranche of the Russian financial assistance for paying pension allowance came to Pridnestrovie on 26 December 2007. Since January 2008 all Pridnestrovian pensioners have been receiving extra pension allowance.
