Tiraspol, 17 February. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. "In 2015 the Committee for State Security (KGB) focused its attention, among other things, on forming mobilisation plans and on processes taking place on our border," said the president in his speech at a board meeting of Pridnestrovie's KGB.
"We all remember the deployment of big military groups in Ukraine near our border, the making of weapon emplacements, the presence of numerous armed persons belonging to different military units, the slogans that concerned Pridnestrovians. Here, KGB's performance was efficient on the whole," said Yevgeny Shevchuk, thanking officers of all KGB departments. "Based on the 2015 results, the committee has deserved a good note."
The president emphasised, according to his press service, that KGB should intensify its participation in analytical activities aiming to reveal political corruption networks.
"Public authorities have different opinions. That is why we need a strict ideological line of the efforts undertaken by the state so that systems of state administration do not intermingle and plunge into a situation when amid conflict of interests, decisions are made by persons concerned. In Pridnestrovie economic decisions should be made in compliance with the constitution, the legislation. But half a parliament, which passes laws, consists of businessmen. They pass laws concerning areas in which they may have interests. We have to safeguard the state's interests by expelling such people from the legislative process. The formation of the base for dynamic development and combating crisis phenomena is a necessary instrument for the state," concluded the president.
