Tiraspol, 10 February. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. Pridnestrovie's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Social Protection and Labour has drafted and sent to their Moldovan counterparts a protocol decision about cooperation in the sphere of repatriation of unaccompanied children who have found themselves abroad, said a deputy foreign minister, Dmitry Palamarchuk, during the MFA's board meeting

The diplomat stated that assisting the country's minors that have found themselves in such a difficult situation was an important area of the MFA's activity. «In 2015 two children were repatriated. One to Moldova, and another to Pridnestrovie," he noted.

Dmitry Palamarchuk added that the repatriation of young Pridnestrovians was not the only sphere in which the ministry provides assistance to the country's citizens.

«A certain agreement on mutual legal assistance was reached with Ukraine. In 2015 the sending of requests and replies on pension provision was systematised," said the minister. «As of today, 270 requests have been sent, and 52 of them were replied to.»

The diplomat said that last year the MFA had helped a Pridnestrovian citizen to extend her Ukrainian passport. The female was accompanying her child, who was ill with cancer, to a Moscow hospital.

The ministry also helped a Pridnestrovian para-athlete who was going to a competition receive an Italian visa and a citizen who had lost his documents during a visit to Abkhazia return to Pridnestrovie.

«We have also managed to solve a number of issues relating to double recovery of alimony imposed by a Pridnestrovian and Moldovan court," concluded Dmitry Palamarchuk.
