Cooperation agreement signed between Nizhny Novgorod and Pridnestrovian universities

The Days of Pridnestrovie in Nizhny Novgorod are coming to an end

Tiraspol, 20 November. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. A cooperation agreement was signed between T.G. Shevchenko Pridnestrovian State University and N.G. Lobachevsky Nizhny Novgorod State University, Igor Shornikov, a deputy foreign minister, told Novosti Pridnstrovya. It is recalled that the diplomat and the PSU president emeritus, Stepan Beril, are members of the delegation taking part in the Days of Pridnestrovie in Nizny Novgorod.

«We are planning to develop the cooperation, and this framework agreement will be supplemented with concrete projects in the near future," said the deputy minister.

According to him, the cooperation will be developed in various spheres, including joint scientific and humanitarian research, further training for PSU teaching staff at Nizhny Novgorod University as well as MA and post-graduate courses for PSU graduates.

«This includes post-graduate and MA courses for our students, further training for our teaching staff and, above all, joint research projects in various areas," clarified Igor Shornikov.

Specialists in the areas that are in high demand in Pridnestrovie will enjoy the priority opportunity to continue studies in Russia on condition they come back afterwards.

During the Days of Pridnestrovie a number of exhibitions dedicated to the PMR were held in NNSU, including the exposition of Pridnestovian post stamps and new composite coins and the exhibition commemorating the 85th anniversary of PSU. Nizhny Novgorod residents saw exhibits showing the 25-year history of Pridnestrovie's independence.

The Pridnestrovian delegation also took part in the international scientific conference «Regions of the world: problems of history, culture and politics». The Days of Pridnestrovie in Nizhny Novgorod close today, 20 November.
