«In accordance with the practice established for the autumn-winter period and in view of the seasonal weather deterioration in October-December, the Pridnestrovian delegation to the JCC proposes to hold an inspection of Joint Peacekeeping Forces (JPF) posts in the Security Zone for the purpose of checking the readiness of JPF personnel to serve in low temperature conditions. It is proposed to inspect posts in compliance with the procedure previously established by the Joint Military Command (JMC)," says the statement released by the Pridnestrovian delegation.
In order to provide the internal monitoring of the Security Zone, the Pridnestrovian delegation to the JCC also proposes considering the possibility of inspecting alongside JPF posts the posts of all power structures along the route established by the JMC. All JCC members and participants, journalists accredited to the JCC may take part in the inspection.
Besides, in case the necessity arises, the Pridnestrovian delegation states its desire to participate in a separate monitoring of all power structure posts in the Security Zone and proposes that the representatives of armed forces in the JCC put forward their proposals for terms and procedure of monitoring," says the document.
The issue of holding regular inspections of JPF readiness for the autumn-winter period is on the principal agenda of the JCC, but due to the fact that the Moldovan delegation is constantly blocking decisions on organisational issues the principal agenda issues are not discussed at weekly sessions.
