Pridnestrovie's MFA hosted the meeting of the deputy foreign minister, Dmitriy Palamarchuk, and the delegation of the United Kingdom Great Britain and Northern Ireland, led by the director of the Causeway Institute, Kingsley Donaldson.
In the course of the meeting the participants substantively discussed the British initiative to organise a special educational project for young diplomats and public employees from Pridnestroive aimed at studying the conflict and post-conflict settlement in Northern Ireland, the MFA press service reports.
This initiative was first proposed by the UK ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary to Moldova, David Batson, during his meeting with Pridnestrovie's ministry of foreign affairs, Nina Shtanski, on 26 August 2015.
Dmitriy Palamarchuk noted in this regard that the intention of the British partners to keep direct contacts with Pridnestrovie is regarded as a positive factor. He also underscored that the British diplomacy has always been a serious participant in the international communications and, in addition, «possesses undoubted experience in conflict settlement.»
