Valdimir Trandasir: Elektromash preventing decline of production

This is what the director general of Elektromash, Vladimir Trandasir, said today on Radio 1

«The enterprise is trying to prevent a decline of production, and recently there has been even a slight rise," he said.

Elektromash's major partners are still in Russia. The prices for production are quoted in Russian roubles and have not changed since last year, the enterprise director said.

Commenting on the possibility of revising the prices due to the depreciation of the Russian rouble, Vladimir Trandasir said that at the present stage the enterprise is making efforts to lower costs of production and increase productivity. The plant is strictly controls daily power consumption as well.

«The power intensity is one of the basic components of cost price. Last year we managed to reduce gas consumption by a factor of four. Owing to governmental assistance and preferential tariffs, this year we don't have so many problems with water and power supply as we did last year. Besides, there is assistance in import substitution. Today we supply our products to the Russian market on a par with residents of Russia. There are no restrictions for us. And we are not looking for new markets today," concluded the Elektromash CEO.
