The government has reduced the price for gas for industrial consumers by 277 roubles ($25). Amendments to the resolutions regulating gas pricing and gas supply rate making were approved by the cabinet members.
As the minister of economic development, Alevtina Slinchenko, noted in her speech, the decision to reduce the price for natural gas in the 4th quarter was taken as part of the government's anti-crisis measures aimed at supporting the industry. Prior to that, this decision had been backed by the president.
«It is already in the 3rd quarter when we reduced the gas price for industrial consumers by $10. Now we propose to cut it by $25 more. Thus the aggregate gas price reduction will amount to $35 in the 4th quarter," said the minister.
The gas tariff for the industrial enterprises whose own production sales return is no less than 70% will be reduced from 2,783 to 2,506 for a thousand cubic metres. The tariff for other industrial consumers will decrease from 3,118 to 2,840 roubles, although it was planned to rise in the 4th quarter to 3,229 roubles.
