Russia's non-CIS imports decrease by 39% in January-August

At the same time, the import of textile, footwear and machine-building production increased

According to Russia's Federal Customs Service, in January-August 2015 non-CIS imports amounted to $103.922 billion in monetary terms as compared to the same period in 2014 and fell by 39%.

In August, the monetary volume of non-CIS imports made up $13.542 billion and, compared to June 2015, had decreased by 1.7%.

The import of chemical production decreased by 9.9% and amounted to $2.551 billion; the import of food products and raw materials for food products fell by 3% to $1.751 billion. At the same time, the import of textile and footwear rose by 5% to $1.061 billion; the import of machine-building production increased by 3.3% to $6.326 billion.
