Moldova's wine and cognac export to EU reduced by 3.2% in Q12015 and amounted to $8.29 million, InfoMarket reports with reference to the information of the National Bank of Moldova (NBM).
The Czech Republic became a main customer of Moldova's wines and cognacs, as it pushed purchases of Moldovan wines in the Q12015 by 6.2% - up to 2.06 million USD. At the same time, wine supply to Poland fell by 19% - to 1.71 million USD, to Romania — it increased by 18.9% - to 1.26 million USD, to Slovakia — it increased by 47.7% - to 0.65 million USD.
According to the NBM, Moldova's wine and cognac export to the non-EU or non-CIS countries amounted to $6.47 mln in the Q12015, having increased by 0.9% as compared to the same period of 2014. At the same time in January-March, 2015, in such state category, the most part of the Moldova's alcohol export was directed to the USA — $3.38 million (+0.3%), Georgia — $1.66 million (+52.3%), China — $0.87 million (-19.4%).
