Evgeny Shevchuk: Ukraine as a guarantor state can unblock the Pridnestrovie's economy

According to the President, the economy would grow by 25-35% in such case

The Head of State noted that the positive steps had to be taken for the further negotiations within the "5+2" format. According to the President, one of these steps could be the unblocking of the Pridnestrovie's economy. The Head of State told that such question had been discussed with the Ukraine's negotiation representative Andrey Veselovsky at the meeting today.

"Ukraine as the guarantor state can unblock the Pridnestrovie's economy," Evgeny Shevchuk noted. Also, according to the President, the issues concerning the Ukraine border crossing restrictions for the Pridnestrovie's citizens were discussed at the meeting with the Ukraine's diplomat. Besides, the Head of State expressed his concern about the extra Ukraine's military forces deployment near the Pridnestrovie-Ukraine border.

"We told that we knew about the antiaircraft battery's deployment at the Pridnestrovie's border. We know where it is, we know the approximate number of the military units. We see it, the deployment of troops at the border is always an unfriendly step," Evgeny Shevchuk told about the meeting. Nevertheless, according to the President, Pridnestrovie is still a peaceful nation. However, all the measures required to provide national security will be taken.

"We won't let the ultranationalists intrude our territory and spread chauvinism or any aggressive ideological or political methods," the Head of State emphasized.
