The Consular departments of the Embassy of the Russian Federation will be able to send new international passports by mail

The list of the states where the citizens will have an opportunity to receive the new passports by mail will be established by the MFA of Russia

The Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a law allowing the consular department located in Russia to send the new passport to its owner by mail after his registration in the consular department abroad.

The text of the law can be found on the Legal Information Portal of the Russian Federation.

According to the law the passport can be sent overseas to the customer by mail after he pays, but only if this Russian citizen has filed a written application in the diplomatic mission or Russian consular department in his country.

The list of the states where the citizens will have an opportunity to receive the new passports by mail will be established by the MFA of Russia.
