This was stated by Yevgeny Shevchuk during a news conference at MIA Rossiya Segodnya
According to the head of state, Pridnestrovie has been peacefully building its statehood since 1992.
"You are not going to see armed police patrols, troops or other military units in Pridnestrovie. In some Europena cities you can meet more armed policemen than in Tiraspol. There is a higher level of public safety in our republic. And we don't want any radicals, nationalists and fascists get into our republic and try to involve Pridnestrovians and Pridnestrovie as a whole in conflicts," underscored Yevgeny Shevchuk.
According to him, eight military observers from Ukraine's armed forces can move freely in the Security Zone and across Pridnestrovie.
"I am sure they provide unbiased information on the state of affairs on the Pridnestrovian-Ukrainian border and Pridnestrovie as a whole," said Yevgeny Shevchuk, calling on the international community to resist information provocations and impartially consider the situation in the republic.
Speaking about the Russian contingent in Pridnestrovie, the president noted that before transforming the peacekeeping operation, "first it is necessary to find mutually accepted tools and mechanisms of political settlement."
"There are attempts today to smear somehow the peacekeeping operation and demands to withdraw the Russian contingent, which is part of this operation. These attempts, in our view, are aimed at destabilising security procedures in the Security Zone," the president believes.
He recalled that the peacekeeping operation is carried out by three contingents: Russian, Moldovan and Pridnestrovian troops. "It is very important for us that all the constituents of the operation, which take part in it under international agreements, should further successfully fulfil their duties as a final political settlement to the conflict has not been reached yet," said Yevgeny Shevchuk.
According to him, such destabilising appeals are dangerous and may aggravate situation in the Security Zone. "We totally oppose that. We believe there's nothing like peace. That's why we should seek compromises in other areas to minimise tensions and avoid making statements aggravating the situation."
The president suggested that information, diplomatic and, what is the most important, economic wars should be stopped. "If such steps are taken, first of all, by Moldova, this may help to establish a corresponding ground or basement for more complex political discussions," concluded Yevgeny Shevchuk.
