Dmitry Rogozin: "Mr Leanca should immediately conduct such consultations with Pridnestrovie before some irreversible events take place"
Russia's vice-premier Dmitry Rogozin, the special envoy of the Russian president on Pridnestrovie, thinks Moldova's ledership should take account of Pridnestrovie's interests when taking strategic decisions. He has strongly recommended Moldova's authorities should immediately conduct consultations with Tiraspol concerning the DCFT agreement with the EU.
“The consultations should be conducted with Pridnestrovie before defining strategic issues. Such consultations haven't been held, we are convinced of it. And Mr Leanca should conduct them immediately before some irreversible events take place," noted Dmitry Rogozin.
Speaking about Russian bans imposed on Moldova's agricultural production, Russia's vice-premier underscored that if certain issues arise in Chisinau, they should be settled in Moscow.
"If the Moldovan side has questions, it is necessary to go to Moscow and decide them there. It turns out that numerous issues have arisen. Moldovan farmers have already gone on strike, and the government doesn't bother. They should have taken account of Russia's opinion on where to join and what agreements to sign from the very beginning instead of confronting afterwards the great state with the accomplished fact: 'We have signed the association agreement with the EU.' It is just indecent and improper," concluded Rogozin.
