Bendery, June, 26. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. On Saturday, June 29, the festival of folk art “In the Folk Traditions of the Pridnestrovian Region” will be held in Bendery fortress.
The event will be attended by 13 creative teams from different cities of Pridnestrovie.
According to the website of the Bendery State Administration, beginning from 6 pm around the perimeter of the A. Nevsky Park will be held workshops on folk art and crafts (carving, weaving, pottery, embroidery, carpet weaving, forge, etc.). At the same time, the national farmsteads and its kitchens will start working.
At 6:40 pm there will be held Chora Mare flash mob on the main stage of the park. The grand opening of the festival is scheduled for 7 pm.
The founder of the event is the State Service for Culture and Historical Heritage of the PMR.
According to organizers, the festival’s goal is to revive and preserve national traditions, rituals and customs of the peoples living in Pridnestrovie, popularize national creativity, identify and support young talents, harmonize interethnic relations.
