Tiraspol, May 27. / Novosti Pridnestrovya/. From May 22 to May 27 on the Olympic rowing channel «Krylatskoye» in Moscow, there took place junior U-19 rowing championship of Russia on kayaks and canoe. The competition became the last stage of selection in the Russian national junior team for participation in official international competitions of the current year.
On this competition our republic was represented by Masters of Sports Danil Vetrov and Kirill Fedorenko who competed on kayaks, it is reported on the website of Pridnestrovian Civil Service on Sport.
The program of competitions included single boat races and also boat races in the two and in the fours.
For the Pridnestrovian athletes the final single race at a kilometre distance was the most successful. It is the Olympic program. Danil Vetrov was the first. But the interval with Kirill Fedorenko was only a second.
Danil Vetrov also became the champion as a part of the four at a 500 meters distance.His partners in the team were Vladlen Ushakov, Nikita Barannikov and Nikita Maximov.
In the same race, Kirill Fedorenko became the third. His partners were Daniil Maximov, Nikolay Varvarovsky and Bogdan Ageev.
Danil Vetrov got also the silver medal in the single boat at the 500 meters distance.
According to the results of competitions, both Pridnestrovian athletes are included in the structure of the Russian national junior team.
