Tiraspol, February, 23. / Novosti Pridnestrovya/. The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the PMR Vitaly Ignatiev answered questions of the editor of the Hungarian newspaper «Fidelio» Janos Moscovitch. The journalist was interested in a wide range of subjects among which there was a history of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic, dynamics of the negotiation process between Pridnestrovie and the Republic of Moldova and also the purposes and problems of the PMR foreign policy reported the Press Service of the Foreign Ministry.
Speaking about the current state of the dialogue with Moldova, Vitaly Ignatiev paid attention to the progress of the parties in implementation of some earlier reached agreements and noted interest of the Pridnestrovian side throughout such a paradigm of the dialogue.
«The situation became slightly better, and, perhaps, we simplified some elements of people life. We consider that the most optimum way of settlement of the conflict is the movement from simple problems to more difficult», – the diplomat told.
Answering the question of the journalist about the final settlement of the existing conflict, the Minister of Foreign Affairs emphasized that the principled stand of Pridnestrovie is based at the will of the people and remains invariable.
«The international recognition of Pridnestrovie is the easiest and most reliable way for fair settlement of the conflict in modern conditions. At the same time, it ensures regional security and stability. Everyone will benefit from it. We are convinced that it is time to recognize de facto the reality in which Moldova and Pridnestrovie nearly three decades exists separately as two independent states», – Vitaly Ignatiev emphasized.
At the end of the interview Vitaly Ignatiev presented to the Hungarian journalist the copy of «Political and Legal Bases of the International Recognition of Independence of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic», having noted that this book is the most complete collection of legal and historical estimates of the right of Pridnestrovie for development of own sovereign statehood.
