At the Chisinau airport yesterday, the Moldovan security officers detained the citizens of the Russian Federation going to Pridnestrovie to participate in the festive events dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the Dniester peacekeeping operation. After an intense checking they were denied entry to Moldova.
The Pridnestrovian MFA has defined the incident as 'a self-destructive aim of Chisinau to provoke a new round of tension' and 'a demonstration of the true attitude of the RM authorities towards Russia and its peacekeeping role'.
Dmitry Rogozin called the story with the entry ban for the citizens of the Russian Federation shameful for Moldova and branded the RM officials as 'a band of rowdies'.
